King Charles Cancer Treatment ‘Moving in Positive Direction’, Palace Claims

We have an update on King Charles’ condition.

According to a Buckingham Palace source who spoke to NBC News on Friday, the monarch’s cancer treatment is “moving in a positive direction”, nearly a year after being diagnosed with the dreaded disease.

The insider emphasized that while progress has The King’s cancer remains in a “manageable state,” meaning his “cycle of treatment will continue into the next year.”

It remains unclear what type of cancer has afflicted King Charles.

There has been chatter that he is battling pancreatic cancer, which has an extremely low five-year survival rate. to be clear, we cannot confirm this rumor.

King Charles was only a year and a half into his reign when Buckingham Palace first confirmed his cancer diagnosis in February.

The statement explained that the 76-year-old chose to share his health condition in part “in the hope that it can help build public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”

During a visit to the Dyson Cancer Center at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, England in September, Queen Camilla — who married Charles in 2005 — was asked by Susie Moon of Macmillan Cancer Support about the state of the king’s health.

“He’s doing very well,” he replied at the time.

Charles resumed royal duties in April after taking several weeks off.

In January, meanwhile, Kate Middleton was hospitalized for nearly two weeks to undergo abdominal surgery for reasons undisclosed at the time.

While the initial tests were done not indicate cancer, further tests revealed “there was cancer,” he said in a taped statement.

For his part, the 75-year-old monarch issued his first public statement about the illness shortly after we learned of it.

“I would like to express my sincere thanks for the many messages of support and well wishes I have received over the past few days,” the King said via Buckingham Palace.

“It is equally encouraging to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped to promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organizations who support cancer patients and their families across the UK and the wider world.

“My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is even greater as a result of my personal experience.”
