season’s greetings! Floral designer and Involuntary Founder Liz Carter sat down with ET to share her holiday party essentials and tips.
For starters, the floral expert says that displaying her botanical paper flower bouquets can help set the happy mood.
“Spontaneous settings elevate holiday tables with timeless beauty and effortless elegance. They don’t compete with food or decor, as they’re designed to complement a wide range of table options. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about them wilting before the final toast it’s as durable as your vacation memories,” he noted.
And her realistic-looking petals and leaves, hand-cut, made from Italian crepe paper, have been painted, shaped and crafted to embrace the spirit of Christmas.
“This season will be full of rich, jewel tones like emerald, ruby and sapphire combined with metallic gold and bronze.… Combining traditional holiday greens with unexpected blush pinks or deep burgundy will also be on trend and expect to see some bad combinations of pink, burgundy and green,” he spilled.
In addition to displaying stunning centerpieces at your celebration, the entrepreneur likes to provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for guests.
“Creating a welcoming atmosphere is all about simple touches like uplifting music, cozy lighting and an easy approach. For food, choose a mix of crowd-pleasers and festive treats and consider a signature cocktail to match with your theme To make the evening memorable, encourage fun interactions with themed dress codes, simple games or a photo corner,” recommended.
When it comes to gifts, Carter believes that meaningful gifts are the way to go.
“This year, I’m drawn to gifts that bring comfort and inspiration, like cozy blankets, handmade candles or blank journals to jot down the next great idea. Supporting small businesses is also important to me, so I’m looking for handmade items and unique finds from local makers” , he said.
